There is Hope if you truly Believe in Hope. Hope isn't a hand out. And it will require work.
THE STRAW
Lets start with The GREAT SOCIETY realizing racism is a multifaceted subject. And there are many things to be understood. There is still hope that we can come together as a nation and a country if we forgive and work together as one. Courtesy is the way. The British got this right.
The road to hell was built with good intensions. The results of a welfare state was the division of the family. Fathers were taken from their homes and we are seeing the results. Both black and white families were divided.
Go back in time to WWII. This is where the where the straw was broken, taking away hope of mending our Nation. There were those that lived in a dream world that felt Blacks incapable to defend our country. There were those who knew better. But most important there were those Blacks that felt if they helped defend this country they would then be truly accepted. Many were wrong. Many knew there wasn't any hope of acceptance. So I wrote JUST in memory of this plight.
Then came Korea and Vietnam. Remember when 18 year olds could fight but they could not vote? This was accepted for generations. 18 year old Blacks could fight and would have trouble voting even after reaching 21. This wasn't fair and the entire society knew it. And still some suppressed this idea. While mostly southern Democrats refused to allow equal rights.
The Democrats needed votes so they accepted the Southern views. Later these views were forced to change. It bothers me that Robert Bird and George Wallace were Southern Democrats. But they came with votes. The point here is the Left is as bad as the Right and we need to come together. Learn from the past.
Presidents Kennedy thru Nixon all helped create the Great Society.
Black/African Americans we told over and over to rise above it all. Only to be refused true acceptance over and over. This was the past. The equal rights are in place now. Unfortunately there is so much distrust and hate. It was giving so much to America; life, blood and dreams, that created hope. Then to be shit breaking the camels back.
Greed can ruin the lives of so many. Be it Nike shoes or controlling someone else's way life, greed can control us. I believe that "Power corrupts and, Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Next understand: The perception of having absolute power corrupts absolutely as well.
A SOLUTION
This might seem extreme. Well it is because it is needed. Lets use Baltimore as a testing place. Leave culture at the door.
Black Mothers, Grandmothers, and children need to create a collation advocating the importance of family and education. The children need to be taught to achieve in all aspects of school and family. Because statically most black fathers are not present, not supportive in their children's lives, they are to be excluded .
Because the family has been broken, black men need to be lead by those fathers who act like fathers. This means black men need to create a collation as well. To teach. Teaching them how to be a good parent. Note: There are races other than blacks who are in the same boat.
Next integrate white folk into this system, leaving culture at the door. Then integrate all races.
On the school level all children are to attend school. To do their best while there. There is no hope without some form of education. Then it is up to the individual to make their path. Unfortunately guards should be present to protect all and to ensure civility. Courtesy is a mandate. Change needs to happen. The only change happening presently is those who rule. And education is the tool to escape the realities of the hood. Education towards college or private aspirations.
To be continued soon...
Leave Culture at the Door. Courtesy is a mandate.
THE WHITE MAN MUST LOVE THE BLACK WOMAN & THE BLACK WOMAN MUST LOVE HIM BACK. THEN THINGS WILL CHANGE.
